Fence Installation Substation
APC worked with an electrical contractor to vacuum excavate holes and trenching to install fence and ground grids at a Substation. No damage to existing underground utilities. Remote hose lengths of 50-70 feet.

Hi-rail Vacuum Excavation
An APC crew worked under the direction of a local Rail Road Company to locate buried conduits and dig trenches for new signals upgrades. Do damage or delays were cause by this form of excavation. Our hi-rail equipment has 195 cfm-air compressor, 1350 gallon water tank, and 14 yard debris body.

Pump Station Cleaning
An APC Crew performed scheduled maintenance of a storm-water pump station. We provided vacuum truck services, liquid transportation and disposal. APC provided atmospheric testing, as well as confined space trained laborers and a full confined space rescue team with all necessary retrieval equipment. We vacuumed all water and grit, pressure washed the walls and cleaned the pump intake bells for maintenance. Safe and Efficient.

December 2017 Digester Cleaning
An APC crew completed the annual cleaning of a wastewater treatment plant digester. Working together the crew of 3 took out 7 loads of material from the holding tank in 1 day. We utilized our industrial vacuum truck and provided all the confined space equipment and air monitoring devices to make sure the job was completed as safe as possible.

October 2017 Silo Cleaning
APC utilized a Vacuum Truck equipped with an Auger to offload lime into roll of containers. This method of offloading enables the truck to remain on site and keep sucking while a roll off can bring the material to disposal.

January 2017 Elevator foundation Excavation Pawtucket, Rhode Island
APC utilized one of its Vacuum Excavators to dig a 12'x12' hole that was 6' deep. The unique part about this job was that it was in the basement of an elementary school that was being rehabilitated. There was no way to access the area with conventional excavation equipment. The material was excellent for vacuuming because it was dry and sandy. It took an APC crew just under 6 hours to remove 35 yards of material! This job is a perfect example where a vacuum truck was put to good use.

APC performed non-destructive digging of a 100 foot trench inside a Hannafords supermarket. In 10 hours APC removed 30 yards of dirt from the frozen foods section of the store, in order for upgrades to refrigeration system to be made. The advantage of using vacuum excavator is that it can easily access areas that typical excavation equipment cannot and it is much faster than shoveling dirt into wheel barrels. The store was able to reopen in the morning with zero disturbance to its normal daily operation.

Once A utility is located a surveyor would mark the exact location of utilities. One or two days with an APC vacuum excavator will help contribute to more accurate plans, more efficient excavations and help eliminate the dangers of striking a underground hazard.

That is why we build custom ramps that allow our trucks to offload into roll off containers. Ramps allow the trucks to keep sucking and easy transportation with a roll off. The ramps ultimately save APCs customers money on transportation costs and reduce the time needed to preform the vacuuming by reducing vacuum truck driving.

August 29, 2014 Underground Utility Location Vassar St in Cambridge, MA.
An APC Vacuum Truck and Operator were dispatched to a job site at MIT. The purpose for using the vacuum truck was to locate an underground steam and gas line. The steam line and gas lines were buried ten feet underground and surrounded by other obstacles such as duct banks.

August 21, 2014: Transformer Yard Randolph, MA. An APC Vacuum excavator and two men went to a national grid transformer yard to safely locate underground hazards. The main task that the crew undertook was digging a fifty foot long, 3 feet deep trench which was needed for the installation of conduit.

APC used their Vacuum Truck with a built in Air Compressor to locate an underground wasted water drain without damaging a sewer line that was located six inches above. The crew used a water gun to blast away thick clay that was clogging the 24 inch storm water drain line. This was a perfect situation for a vacuum excavator because there was no way for an excavator to clear the dirt without damaging the sewer line. APC took one truck load of dirt out and used it to back fill the hole at the end of the job. The total time to vacuum this hole 4 hours.

We brought our powerful vacuum truck which is equipped with a high pressure hose reel. We also brought our safety trailer which contains all of our equipment to enter confined spaces. We turned on the truck and sucked all the water and solids. Then we used the high pressure water pump to clean the debris off the walls. The total time to solve this problem was just under 5 hours.
